The Narendra Modi government has launched a new initiative which will allow anyone to track the employee attendance numbers in central government organisations. Employees mark attendance through biometric terminals installed at various central government offices. The 6 digit number will be generated based on the last 6 or first 6 digits of the person’s Aadhaar number. After Registration The employees will be required to enter their 6-digit Attendance ID on the terminal and subsequently the system will ask for finger print verification. Total 148 central government organizations have opted for the system while fewer than 50,000 employees have registered for it.
