Magadh University (mu) was established in Bodh Gaya by Satyendra Narayan Sinha. He was started from 2 March 1962. Now The Magadh university is governed by Bihar State University under Act 1976.

Magadh University Facilites

The university provides many facilities for students like, the Mannulal Central Library, multi-storied library. The central library has about 162,245 books. The MU provides medical facility to the student. There are many hostel on the university campus, there are one girls hostel also available to accommodate 150 female students. There are 150 teachers works in the university.

There are more than 150 teachers. There are many more professional courses are running like M.B.A., M.C.A, B.C.A., B.B.M., Tourism and Travel Management, Journalism, etc… There are two private Engineering Colleges, Two medical collages, Law Colleges, Dental Collage under the University.
