Happy Diwali 2014 – Welcome to the festival of Diwali, the biggest festival of India. Diwali is the festival of lights and we celebrate it with great joy.This day we burn crackers and pray. The date of Diwali falls in either in October or November each year, depending on the cycle of the moon. This year Diwali is on 23th October, 2014.

There are so many festival celebrated likes Uttarayan, Holi, Navratri, Rakshabandhan, Ganesh Chaturthi, Christmas etc. Among all of them Diwali is best. Diwali is very important festival of Hindus. Lord Ram killed Ravan and returned after 20 days of Dashera. That day was Amavasya that’s why people light their houses with lots of lights. People make Rangoli in front of their house and also make flower rangoli. There are houses which can we see fully colorful lightning. There also special attraction of sweets and snacks. People make different types of sweet and snacks. Specially eats Mathiya, Cholafali, puri, sev etc. Crackers are special attraction for all. Young and children fire crackers and enjoy different soundings and lighting.

It is the festival of five days but people make preparation before a month. They cleans their homes before a month ago of the festival. They make different type of sweet and snacks. People enjoy this festival for a week or ahead. It is the longest festival belongs with the days like Dhanteras, Kali Chaudas, Happy Diwali 2014, New Year day and Bhai bij.

Five days of festival of Diwali are as under….

First day called ‘Dhanteras’ on that day people worship goddess Lxmi in shubh murhut and pray her to stay whole year in their homes.

Second Day is called ‘Kali Chaudas’ on that day people worship Hanumanji and pray them to protect all the members of their homes from banes.

Third day is called ‘ Happy Diwali 2014 ’ on that day of diwali people fully light their homes and fire lots of crackers and enjoy the whole day. Shopkeepers and businessmen make ‘Chopda Poojan’ on that day and pray for shubh murhut.

After celebrating all this days the special day comes and it is the New Year day. On that day people send Happy Diwali 2014 Images, HD Wallpapers, and Songs for wishes Happy New Year to each other. On that day people wear new clothes, worship god and enjoy full day.

The last day of Diwali festival is called ‘Bhaibij’. On that day brother comes to his sister homes. Sister makes sweet and delicious dishes which like her brother.  Brother gift her sister something.
