The Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan (BSER) was established by the passing of the Rajasthan Secondary Education Act in 1957. The board was based in Jaipur on December 04, 1957. Later, the head office of BSER was shifted to Ajmer in 1961. In 1973, the baord began functioning in its present multi-storied building.
